ABOUT Melissa Davis

Melissa became a confirmed Anglophile on February 9. 1964 when she, along with 73.9 other Americans, watched the Beatles first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show. 

She was a member of the inaugural class of the worlds' first graduate level degree program focusing on the impact of the Beatles on popular music and society, held at Liverpool Hope University in 2009-2010, graduating cum laude in July 2011, but one of her proudest achievements is returning to the States with a nickname – 'Mel', from the city that even has one for itself - The 'Pool.

Melissa was an attorney for ten years before returning to her first love, teaching history. At one time or another, she has written patients rights legislation, fire safety regulations and personal profiles for an international dating agency, as well as ghosting magazine articles on emerging legal issues.

In addition, she has published overwrought fiction online under a nom de plume she feels confident her family and friends will never decipher.
