ABOUT Melissa Davis

 

Melissa became a confirmed Anglophile on February 9. 1964 when she, along with 73.9 other Americans, watched the Beatles first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show. ​
She was a member of the inaugural class of the worlds' first graduate level degree program graduating cum laude in July 2011, from Liverpool Hope University, but one of her proudest achievements was returning to the States with a nickname – 'Mel', from the city that even has one for itself - The 'Pool.
Melissa was an attorney for ten years before returning to her first love, teaching history. At one time or another, she has written patients rights legislation, fire safety regulations and personal profiles for an international dating agency.

Melissa lives in Colorado, down the street from 14,110' Pikes Peak, and home to championship football and hockey where she founded The Beatle Works Ltd. and continues to write and publish about The Beatles – with the 'Next Edition' of the Beatles Bibliography scheduled for publication in 2022. 

She recently contributed a chapter to Kenneth Womack's 'The Beatles in Context' discussing the Beatles' reception on their inaugural visit to America in February 1964, and a chapter on the religious milieu of the Liverpool the Beatles were born and raised in for Michael McGowan's forthcoming, 'The Beatles and Religion.'
